Project Description

The “Life for Youth” project aims to promote the social integration of young people at risk of drug addiction, aged between 14 and 30. The Bonus Pastor Foundation and the Hungarian Reformed Church’s Wandering Youth Rescue Mission (MRE KIMM) are participating as partners in the implementation of the “Life for Youth” project. Both organizations specialize in different areas of drug prevention among young people. Bonus Pastor contributes its experience in life coaching, while KIMM brings its expertise in applying the Portage model. Sixteen employees from the two institutions are participating in joint courses, where they share their professional experiences in these two fields.

Based on the results of the training, a joint curriculum will be developed to provide effective support to drug prevention organizations and specialists working with young people in this field. The common curriculum will be extensively tested by the partner organizations among the target group, both during its development and after its finalization. A total of 150 young people will participate in the testing in Romania and Hungary.

The newly developed curriculum will be presented at a conference for institutions and specialists working with young people in general, or in drug prevention, where the two partner organizations will share their experiences with interested parties.
