National Conference – Odorheiu Secuiesc
| “For several decades, I have attended every meeting whenever possible to share my story of liberation.”
After many years, the location of the national meeting was set in Odorheiu Secuiesc on October 11-13, thanks to the enthusiastic encouragement of our volunteer, Katona Attila. Over a hundred people registered, most of whom attended, with many signing up on-site. The theme of the meeting was spiritual values and sobriety, around which the devotions, presentations, and group discussions were organized. The meeting began with lively social games, followed by the opening devotion led by local pastor Pitó Zsolt, focusing on sincerity. Saturday morning’s devotion was about grace and mercy, while the evening devotion centred on patience, led by pastors Szabó István and Mezei Ödön. On Saturday, we held a presentation on the specific values of our families and their importance in strengthening family cohesion. Both presentations were followed by discussions in six groups. Meanwhile, we also enjoyed some recreational activities. In the afternoon, we visited the historical monuments in the city centre, where we received valuable insights into the past and culture of this old town. In the evening, students from the art high school treated us to an extraordinary classical music concert. We attended the Sunday service on the last day, after a presentation on the importance of relaxation in personal and family healing. The sermons were delivered in three different locations. At the Reformed Church in Szombatfalva, Pastor Szabó István spoke about faith as a family value. At the same time, services were also held at the Central Reformed Church and the Baptist Church. In all three locations, the work of the Bonus Pastor Foundation was introduced, and some participants shared their testimonies of liberation. Thanks to Attila’s enthusiastic and meticulous efforts, as well as the cooperation of other volunteers and organizers, the conference went smoothly. The feedback received showed that all the services, presentations, group discussions, and the overall atmosphere were highly appreciated. It was a joy for me to be there! Tünde Geréb
