NEON Foundation exhibition in Nunspeet, Holland
On Monday, October 7th 2013, Mayor van Hemmen opened the NEON Exhibition at the town hall in Nunspeet. In a unique partnership of nine humanitarian development organizations, under the umbrella of the NEON Foundation, the organizations present themselves in this exhibition. These are: Charité Foundation, ContruCasa, Dorcas, Word and Deed, Diaconea, Climb On Foundation, Support Cameroon Foundation, Barnabas Foundation and Bonus Pastor Foundation. Two organizations are being featured for the biennial NEON collection on the week of 14th of October: the Barnabas Foundation, which is committed to realizing a second orphanage in South Sudan and the Bonus Pastor Foundation, which focuses on substance abuse treatment in Romania. The proceeds of the NEON collection will be doubled by the town of Nunspeet and 100% will be given to the two featured organizations.
Mayor van Hemmen: “It’s good to connect these specific goals and the community. NEON Foundation has been chosen to be a binding agent for these organizations and to use this formula of doubling the proceeds. It is important to appreciate the many volunteers who have committed and are willing to participate in this action. We invite everyone to come and see the exhibition in the Town Hall.”
