Thoughts about the Short-term Therapy Program

News from the Aftercare Conference
January 2009
The last two conferences were those which had the most participants in years (130-140 attendants). This attests to the big interest in meeting other people with similar problems. We saw people coming with worn faces, being reserved at the beginning and sighing inwardly and then, after the second day, having a hopeful look, laughing and speaking to others. It is also good to see people being happy about meeting each other, hugging and responding to one another.

Life in the Support Groups
January 2009
Unfortunately, some fall really deeply into their addiction and then need a long recovery period. They try hard, and even fall back, before they can progress with their change. But there are also cases when somebody recognizes his situation and he can succeed in starting an abstinent lifestyle with a little bit of help. And support groups can give this help!

Therapy Centre Christmas
December 2008
It is not easy to spend Christmas-time and the end of the year far away from family and friends. But this period also includes the most temptations, so it would be imprudent for the clients to celebrate at home. That is why family members can come to Ozd and stay for some days during the holidays. Many staff members and their families participate also in the celebration.

Summary of the year
December 2008
We will soon end a year with little change. The Therapy Centre has helped an increasing number of people this year, having had a full house since autumn. In many ways, we perceive the achievements of this year as a miracle and an incredible gift of God. So we would like to give a double thanks for all your support and participation with Bonus Pastor’s ministry!

Therapy centre: Three friends
December 2008
Change is possible - we experience that again and again as we see people in and out of the therapy centre. When George had to go to hospital for a surgery, they were around all the time, like two brothers.
